This is not crap chain pizza. This is made fresh, real deal stuff. The food definitely makes up for having to listen to the conversation coming from 20 something college gamers with no lives. :)

Best pizza place in GJ, Chuck is a great guy and he makes some killer food, try to get in 30 min early if you want anything other then a slice of pizza since he makes it by hand as it's ordered.

Had a meatball sub to go. It was OK. The restaurant's in a good central location, the help were pleasant enough, and after all it's just a pizza place. I'd go there again if I'm ever in Grand Junction.

I can't believe that I'm the first to review Grand Junction's only authentic New York style pizza place. This is a completely unpretentious classic pizza parlor. They don't serve alcohol You order at the counter, give the pizza maker your cash and take your food to your table or your car when it's ready. They also have self-serve fountain drinks and bottled and canned soft drinks. Now to the food. The pizza is very good but I go for the the number 4 sandwich, heated (cosmo!) with giardiniera peppers. This sandwich is so good it should be illegal. I'm sure it's unhealthy, but OMG this is a delicious sandwich. I always buy a whole, planning on saving the second half for later, but end up eating the whole thing and feeling guilty and bloated afterwards. My other favorite is the stromboli. If the only stromboli you've had is the kind they serve at a place like "Old Chicago," you are in for a real treat. This delightful spiral of freshly baked pizza dough, red sauce, Italian cold cuts and cheese explodes with savory flavor and seems to melt in your mouth. Yeah, they're that good. If you want the authentic big city pizza parlor experience, go to Diorio's, If you're going to do take out and you care about your car's interior, be forewarned that almost everything here is a little oily, and some will bleed through the bottom of the bag, but that's a good thing!

Great pizza for the price, and hands down better than Pablo's. They have pizza by the slice that you can load up to your desire for lunch/dinner or you can order a whole pie. Their sicilian is pretty good too. I haven't tried any of their other menu items, but everything I've seen come out of the kitchen looks messy and delicious. Take out, take in, or stay in.

I ate here once. It was 11:00. The slice had been sitting around for a while and it was dried out. It would keep you from starving to death in a crisis, but it did not allow them to put their best foot forward. Clearly, they deserve another chance.

I ordered a small New York Style pizza for Two. They made it fresh so it came out piping hot 15 min. latter. The pizza is very good. Crust nice and crispy the way I like it. The restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are clean. Nice stop if you just want a good pizza at a reasonable price.

What delicious sandwiches this place has. Have yet to try the pizza but they have such good sandwiches, I try to come here every time I am in Grand Junction. Appreciate that it's the owners working behind the counter that give this place the mom and pop charm.

This pizza is absolutely inedible! We stopped at Diorio's on our way through Grand Junction hoping for a couple slices of basic pizza from a local restaurant. Instead, we felt nauseated and hungry for the next five hours. We pulled in at about 6:00, but even in the heart of dinner time the restaurant was deserted. It remained deserted the entire time we were there and I didn't hear any calls come in while we ate. That probably should have been a warning sign. Diorio's doesn't have freshly baked slices out to sell. Some plain slices were sitting atop the counter (with no indication of when they had been made), and when we asked for a slice with sausage they simply added sausage to the top of the already-cooked slice and reheated it. So the toppings aren't actually cooked into the pizza, and that's obvious in the taste. The plain slices we got were drenched in oil --enough to soak into a handful of napkins. With or without the oil, the pizza was absolutely tasteless. We were all feeling a little queasy by the time we were finishing up our slices, which was about the same time I found a hair (very obviously not one of ours) atop my pizza. Fresh Diorio's pizza may be an entirely different experience. Sandwiches and calzones might also be amazing. We didn't try anything except the pizza by the slice, and for all practical purposes they don't sell that.
